Custom-built vinyl storage. From design to installation
Chorus Wall 3×6 = 1,440 albums
Configuring Chorus vinyl storage
Chorus Walls and Islands can be two to five rows high and you can have as many columns as your LP collection needs, subject to a minimum number of columns (and your space, of course!).
-
If you have 1,600 albums, for example, you’d need about vinyl 20 shelves. Each extending shelf takes 80 standard albums (definition here).
You can configure this in a way that best suits you:
4 rows high x 5 columns wide = 20 shelves for 1,600 records
3 rows high x 7 columns wide = 21 shelves for 1,680 records
2 rows high x 10 columns wide = 20 shelves for 1,600 records
A 5-row option is possible, but you’d need a step stool. 4 columns would give you 20 shelves
Chorus Wall 4×10 = 3,200 albums
And how much
space do you have?
The dimensions…
Widths
Each Chorus column is approximately 385mm. So a 10-column Wall or Island is 3.85m wide. See bottom of this page for widths of different column options.
Depth
Chorus Walls and single-sided Islands are 372mm deep. Double-sided Islands are 660mm deep for a 2-row and 674mm deep for a 3-row or 4-row.
Heights
5-row = 1.99m
4-row = 1.63m
3-row = 1.27m
2-row = 0.91m
All heights are based on a 130mm high plinth (see below).
Plinth
We customise Chorus plinths at no extra cost to accommodate skirting boards between 130mm and 280mm high and up to 60mm thick. If your boards are outside these ranges, customisation may be possible at extra cost.
Configuring Chorus Islands
Islands can be used to divide rooms and create entire vinyl libraries. You can configure Chorus as single-sided Islands (pictured) or double-sided Islands (which have shelves on both sides). Chorus Islands are configured with rows and columns in the same way as Chorus Walls. (Please note, the ability to accommodate Islands is dependent on your floor – see this Sleeve Note).
Configuring for the future
We recommend specifying Chorus record cabinets with additional space for accommodating an expanding collection. You can specify static display shelving at reduced cost and then replace them with extending shelves later. Static shelves can be positioned in any shelf aperture.
