Warranty Terms
Our warranty is in addition to your statutory consumer rights provided under the United Kingdom Consumer Rights Act 2015.
You do not need to register for this warranty. We already have your records. To make a claim under these terms, please email play@longplayerfurniture.co.uk.
We guarantee our products and installation as follows:
Chorus cabinetry (excluding extending shelves):
Cabinetry includes end panels, divider panels, back panels, wall and/or floor anchoring system, base, legs (if applicable), plinth and any veneered or painted shelving used as display shelves or any custom cupboard doors.
We provide a seven-year guarantee for these installed elements against defects and breakage under reasonable normal use. The overall quality of installation itself is also guaranteed for the same period. Exclusions are:
general wear and tear
faults or damage caused by abnormal use
faults or damage caused by modification of the cabinet after installation
faults or damage caused by ingress of liquids into panels
faults or damage caused by mould and excessive moisture/humidity in the home
faults or damage caused by animals and insects
faults or damage caused by flood, fire or any Act of God
faults or damage caused by failure of wall substrate or floor (which may cause de-anchoring of the cabinet)
the overall installation when it has been compromised by failure of the wall substrate or floor
Chorus extending shelves:
Extending shelves include the supporting shelf plate, slide mechanism, mounting plate and tray.
We provide a five-year guarantee for these elements against defects and breakage under reasonable normal use. Exclusions are:
general wear and tear (including minor scuffing of the vinyl tray powder coat finish)
faults or damage caused by abnormal use
faults or damage caused by modification of any shelf elements after installation
faults or damage caused by removal of the safety screws
faults or damage to the ball bearing carriage of the slide mechanism caused by overloading of shelves. Please note that, for each shelf, the maximum vinyl load is 20kgs, the maximum static load is 40kgs, and the maximum dynamic (cycle) load under extension is 26.6kgs
faults or damage caused by a failure to service a slide that has suffered ingress of dust/grit and/or decomposition of bearing grease. (Servicing is straightforward – when a slide no longer runs smoothly it’s almost certainly down to dust/grit and/or a lack of grease. Please see servicing instructions that we leave with you after installation)
bent slides. With the exception of the existence of a metallurgical defect (which can be tested for), the slide body will not bend in normal use or even when the shelf is significantly overloaded. A bent slide indicates an excessive downward force has been applied (for example by a child attempting to climb on a shelf)
The warranty is not transferable to another buyer if you sell the installation.
Reinstallation of furniture
If you move home and take your furniture with you, we offer a reinstallation service and guarantee the reinstallation. If you choose to use a third party to reinstall the furniture, they must follow the instructions we provide. We will not guarantee a third-party reinstallation and you agree to absolve LongPlayer UK Limited of any liability for the product itself and the installation. You also accept that any remaining warranty on the furniture will be voided and is no longer valid.
